JMPS was founded by Jane McPhee in 1991. The company grew steadily to the point where today it has a substantial UK client base stretching from Brighton to Glasgow and ranging from Bio-technology to warehouse staff. A key principle adopted by JMPS in all our counselling work is pragmatism: our staff and associates are all essentially very practical and experienced people whose aim is to help clients find effective and acceptable solutions to their current problems. With this in mind our modus operandi places great emphasis on equipping and empowering not just listening and consoling. Proof of the effectiveness of our services is readily available: over 300 people counselled last year alone and an average time taken to relocate into new employment of 12 weeks. |

Our real measure of success lies in the levels of repeat business and our continuing relationships with some very well respected blue-chip clients and perhaps most of all in the counsellees who have returned to us, sometimes paying their own fees, when forced by the vagaries of the labour market into a second or third career change. It is their confidence and trust in our support that provides the most realistic and tangible proof of our effectiveness! Support
Packages tailored to suit specific needsJMPS provides packages tailored to suit individual situations. These can range from group meetings and minimal but effective intervention at very low cost to bespoke packages for senior staff designed specifically to meet the needs of one individual. While there are some 'standard packages' these themselves incorporate varying levels of tailored services: so it is not necessary to pay 'through the nose' for a package that takes into account specific needs and organisational differences. The cost of counselling packages is often much less than senior executives imagine and the benefits also tend to exceed their initial expectations. How a firm or organisation is perceived to treat its staff is often a key element in its public image. Staff counselling, whether for redundancy or simply to support effective and realistic career planning is generally far cheaper than the costs of PR work to remedy problem situations. |
